Justine Bone is at the helm of MedSec’s growth, expansion, and overall success strategies. She is a visionary and seasoned information technology and security executive with far-reaching experience in software security research, risk management, information security governance, and identity management. Justine brings a wealth of knowledge that is applied to the unique environments and challenges of MedSec customers and within the healthcare industry.

Prior to joining MedSec, Justine served in leadership roles for some of the world’s largest brands inclusive of Global Chief Information Security Officer at Dow Jones, Global Head of Information and Physical Security at Bloomberg L.P., CTO of Secured Worldwide, a NYC-based FinTech company, and CEO of the security research firm, Immunity Inc.

Justine launched her career as a vulnerability researcher with Internet Security Systems (now IBM), X-Force, and New Zealand's Government Communications Security Bureau, a foundation that is leveraged and incorporated into MedSec technology and services.

Justine’s leadership extends to community and cybersecurity organizations and initiatives. She chairs the board of directors of Miami Children Corp., and she serves as a member of the HP Security Advisory, CISO Summit and USA Blackhat Review Boards. In addition, Justine is on the faculty of the Institute for Applied Network Security providing education surrounding Cybersecurity Policy & Governance and is the organizer of The Pwnies, an annual awards ceremony celebrating the achievements and failures of security researchers and the security community.

In addition to her technical acumen, Justine has a background in performing arts and was a classical ballet dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company. She utilizes her training to develop creative and adaptive strategies to the dynamic information security landscape.
