We are thrilled to announce the addition of Eirene Shipkowitz Smith to the MedSec Team as Senior Consultant. Eirene joins MedSec with over 25 years’ experience developing robust and secure products for highly regulated industries. She has spent the last seven years dedicated to building-out a product security program and executing both premarket design and post market support for a portfolio of devices for a leading medical device manufacturer. Her areas of focus for the medical device cybersecurity industry include risk management, policy development, and post market monitoring and response. She has been an active member of both cybersecurity standards committees and industry groups over the last several years and is passionate about helping get secure products to market.
Eirene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a Master of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
