Welcome, Luke Arntson!

Please meet Luke Arntson, the newest addition to our MedSec team. He has joined us as a a Senior Principal Consultant.

Luke has over 18 years of professional security experience and is the founder of Basilisk Security & Training LLC. His background spans computer security consulting for S&P 500 clients, advanced software exploitation, and hands-on assessments across a wide range of industries. He has deep expertise in threat modeling, architecture design reviews, and complex client environments, including software deployed to more than a million systems.

Technically, Luke’s experience is broad and deep, including:

• Reverse engineering and exploit development

• Web, network, mobile (iOS & Android), embedded, and mainframe testing

• Red team operations, phishing, and credential harvesting

• Extensive thick-client and software security testing

• Software development across C/C++, C#, Java, Python, .NET, and more

Luke is also a Metasploit contributor, has received acknowledgments from SAP, and has published multiple proof-of-concept vulnerabilities and responsible disclosures to organizations such as Atlassian, Mattermost, and Indeed. Luke also leads the development of the GP2040-CE controller project . He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University, with a focus on systems and security.
